12 mistakes you make when cleaning
Small mistakes during harvesting can negate your efforts and even create even more confusion.
we We offer to get acquainted with the most common mistakes that we make.
1. Wash windows in sunny weather.
The sun heats the windows very quickly, and any window cleaner dries out, which leads to a divorce. Wait with cleaning until direct sunlight leaves your windows.
2. Use lemon on marble or limestone surfaces.
Often, lemons are used as cleaning agents for all kinds of surfaces. But citric acid can dull your countertops or the floor. Use special detergents that are designed for certain types of surfaces.
3. Rub the stain on the carpet
If you spill wine, juice or another drink, rubbing the stain, you will only make it worse. This will also cause the fibers to open and become coarse. Instead, it is necessary to take a towel and remove the stain with pressing movements.
4. Do not clean the sponge
The sponge with which you wash the dishes absorbs the grease from the surfaces and cannot be washed with water. Wash the sponge with soap every time after use and change it every 2 weeks.
5. Spray the surfaces with an "extra" cleaner.
You probably think that an “extra” cleaner will make your surface super clean? In fact, the opposite effect occurs - sediment remains, since the surface is already clean and the tool does not have to remove dirt.
6. Clean up with bare hands.
Your skin absorbs any substance that gets on it. Even products with natural ingredients can dry your hands. Wear rubber gloves, preferably cotton-lined.
7. Put wet brushes in holders
Bacteria are very fond of moisture, so it is very important that the brush is completely dry. If you do not have time, leave the brush for at least 10 minutes on a dry surface.
8. Spray detergent directly onto the surface.
The least effective and safe way is to spray detergent onto the surface, especially electrical appliances. Spray onto a dry cloth and then wipe the surface. And use an extra cloth (without the means) to wipe off excess liquid. This method is recommended for cleaning many surfaces (stainless steel, glass and wood). Exceptions can only be those in which this method of spraying is recommended in the instructions and only on certain coatings.
9. Wipe surfaces from "side to side"
When you make movements in the form of the letter S or Z, you move the dirt from one side to the other. Wipe the surface with small circular motions.
10. Use too much tissue softener.
Using a larger amount of the product than recommended by the manufacturer will have the opposite effect - your laundry will become hard, prickly or greasy, and the towels will lose their ability to absorb.
11. Forget about the TV remote
The consoles accumulate a huge number of microbes, so do not forget to wipe the console with a disinfecting cloth 1 time per week.
12. Mix cleaning products
Never mix bleach with any other cleaner. Adding vinegar, ammonia or alcohol to the bleach can cause a dangerous chemical reaction, as a result of which you can be poisoned by harmful vapors, as well as get irritated to the skin and eyes.
